About
The Roomates Project was a group assignment I completed with Kyle and Caleb where we had to pretend to be certain people and figure out our living situation together. We had to split bills, utilities, etc. and we all had different paying jobs, with certain ones higher then others and everyone had different skills, likes, dislikes, and were home at different times.

This uses Global Awareness Skills through teaching us how difficult it can be to figure out how to live with roomates. It's a new experience and can end up being very complicated and through this we learned about how different personalities and people can affect the way they live together.
I learned how hard it is to figure out how to split the bills. All of us went back and forth wether or not we should split it even or 40 35 30. We also had to decide what rooms people were going to get, how to pay for groceries and who was going to turn in the rent and utilites each month.

I am proud that we came to a agreement and were able to complete this in a timely manner. We all had an even amount of say in the group and it really was nice.
The hardest part was deciding how to split the money. We couldnt figure out if we should split it even and also how we should split grocery payment. In the end, we decided after an hour and a half to do 30 30 60.

I would change the way we did certain things. I would probably make it so we didnt split the rent even. It ended up being unrealistic to my characters income. I would not have been able to afford it every month.

This project previously relates to the budgeting assignments we did in Consumer Math. The budgeting assignments directly help us decide the amount everyone should pay throughout this project.
This project relates to my life later. I will probably have roomates at one point or another throughout my life and will now be able to make a set agreement with them on how we will pay for everything and which rooms people will get.
